Instructions
In a large pot over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
Add diced onions and garlic, cooking until onions become translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
Stir in the diced potatoes, beef broth, shredded carrots, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until potatoes are tender.
Stir in the heavy cream and shredded cheddar cheese, mixing until the cheese is melted and the soup is creamy.
If using, add the crumbled bacon and frozen peas, stirring to combine. Allow the soup to heat through for an additional 5 minutes.
Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
Notes
Serve with crusty bread for a complete meal.
