Instructions
Begin by preparing your cooked chicken if it's not already done. You can either roast, grill, or sauté it seasoned with salt, pepper, and garlic powder for added flavor.
In a medium saucepan, heat the marinara sauce over medium heat until warmed through. Stir in the Italian seasoning and adjust the salt and pepper as needed.
In a bowl, layer the bottom with cottage cheese for a creamy base.
Next, add the shredded chicken on top of the cottage cheese, then pour the warmed marinara sauce over the chicken.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese on top of the marinara sauce.
If you are using pasta or quinoa, add it around the edges of the dish for a wholesome touch.
Place the combined bowl in the microwave for about 1-2 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. If you prefer, you can also bake it in the oven at 375°F (190°C) for 10 minutes.
Once done, remove from microwave or oven and let it cool slightly, then garnish with fresh basil leaves for an aromatic touch.
