In a medium bowl, combine the lime juice, chopped cilantro, minced garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
Place the chicken breasts in a zip-top bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag and shake to ensure the chicken is coated evenly. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade.
Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes per side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes.
While the chicken is resting, warm the corn tortillas on the grill for about 30 seconds on each side until they are pliable.
Slice the grilled chicken into thin strips.
Assemble the tacos by placing a few strips of chicken on each tortilla. Top with shredded cabbage, slice of avocado, and any additional toppings you desire.
Serve immediately with lime wedges and salsa on the side. Enjoy your zesty tacos!
Notes
Marinate the chicken for longer for enhanced flavor.
