to tastesalt and pepper
Instructions
Prepare the Ingredients: Begin by dicing the avocados and placing them in a mixing bowl. Prepare the cherry tomatoes, red onion, cilantro, and orange segments by chopping them as needed. If you prefer some heat, mince the jalapeño and set it aside.
Combine: In the mixing bowl with the diced avocados, gently add the halved cherry tomatoes, diced red onion, chopped cilantro, and orange segments. If using, sprinkle in the minced jalapeño.
Dress the Salsa: Squeeze the juice of one lime over the mixture, ensuring everything is evenly coated. This not only adds flavor but helps keep the avocados from browning.
Season: Gently fold all the ingredients together, being careful not to mash the avocados. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Adjust as desired.
Chill: Let the salsa sit for about 10 minutes at room temperature to allow the flavors to meld together nicely.
Serve: Serve the citrus avocado salsa with tortilla chips, or as a topping for tacos, grilled chicken, or fish.
Notes
Letting the salsa sit for a few minutes enhances the flavors.
